So this weekend is the big annual show at both Winter and Spring Street Studios and I find myself scrambling to get things together in a timely manner because I have been crazy busy lately. I'm getting a lot of work done and also trying to get things ready for upcoming group shows and the big art season ahead.
Hopefully, I can see some of you at the studio this Saturday evening!
Also, check out the gallery for 2012 Renderings, there are some new images!
Here is the Facebook EVENT.
Here is the official description of the Annual Show:
The public is invited to the Annual Fall Artist Exhibition at Winter and Spring Street Studios where you will find some of Houston’s finest art in the First Ward Art District on Saturday, October 6 from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m.
A variety of art works will be showcased—paintings, sculpture, ceramics, glass, mosaic, photography, mixed media, and jewelry. Free admission and complimentary valet parking is available. Wine, water and light bites will be served. Wear your most fabulous art chic fashions and join us for a gala evening of art.
Both Winter and Spring Street Studios are located in industrial buildings repurposed to serve Houston’s professional art community. Together, they house the largest collection of artists in Texas. These buildings, while often used to host major art related events held regularly in Houston, including Fotofest, Artopia, Modern Arts Market, Art on the Avenue, WHAM and 2nd. Saturday Open Studios, will be used to focus on the art that is created within their own walls.
Over 110 artists will enthusiastically greet you in their personal studios. Feel free to ask the artists about their particular technique, scheduled exhibitions, career history, and of course, keep in mind—all art is for sale.
